Crow’s circled as I arrived, cawing a welcome. This is an extremely shamanic place. Sacred since time began.* I’m writing this at one of my ‘home from homes’, Abbey House in Glastonbury – the College of Psychic Studies in London being the other one. I love these old buildings, so full of history and surprises. So many reminders of previous lives. One of my first conscious past life seeings was of Glastonbury – long before I’d been here in my present life. It was an incarnation full of knowledge and esoteric learning – until King Henry sent his men to drag my gentle abbot to the top of the Tor to be hung. Some years later I was shown around the Bishop’s Palace at Wells by the chancellor of the cathedral. I was there with a friend and he’d come up to us in the cathedral when he overheard our puzzlement that things were not where we remembered them. ‘You obviously haven’t been here for a few centuries,’ he laughed. ‘That was how it used to be.’ It turned out he was head of the Churches Council for Psychical Studies and open to matters such as reincarnation and ghostly goings on. In fact, he was compiling an archive of all the photographs taken there that had ghosts in them. I wonder what happened to it. Anyway, he took us over to the palace and we walked down a gallery. ‘Abbot Richard’s chair,’ I said, tears rolling down my face as I stroked a bundle of sticks. ‘We believe so,’ he said. ‘He was tied to that for his last journey.’ I wrote about that memory in one of my early books. So long ago I’ve forgotten which one. So if anyone can enlighten me, I’d be very grateful.

But back to the present. The view from my window in Abbey House is ever-changing. No matter what the weather, I am fascinated by the constantly evolving light and the sky. I probably have my camera in my hand more then my pen. Clouds have become one of the obsessions I’ll be sharing with you. The mythical beasts that are created, the reflections of the cosmos, the colours in nature’s paintbox. And, of course, there’s the energy that passes down the Michael and Mary leylines. But, for now, the view down the central isle focuses my mind on what I’m here to write about: sacred geometry and divine proportion. An art known to architects throughout the ages and a science still used in crystal work to this day.

Suddenly I’m vastly distracted by the ever changing sky after a sudden rainstorm. Sadly no rainbow, but I can create one with my magical Oldfield filter.
